back to reality

my goodness...anyone else wishing we could go back to the holiday's with less stressful workloads, quieter offices, and more down time, and more yummy food? as much as i love a new year, and a fresh start this week has been crazy and it's only wednesday! with school back in session campus is buzzing with students again and the last two days have put me right back into busy work mode. not that i am complaining :)

anyways, i am so thankful that i was able to have such an amazing birthday weekend! thank you so much to everyone who sent birthday wishes my way. i felt so much love the whole weekend long! so for now i am going to take a moment and relive the wonderful relaxing birthday weekend i had! 

mamma and i had AMAZING deluxe pedi's at Phiz Spa in Salem...pretty much heaven!

had a yummy family birthday dinner at Davinci Ristorante

got to make a trip to the amazing nike employee store! 

had some bestie time at Blowout. pretty much the best life decision ever. hair, makeup, lashes...the whole nine yards. and it was completely worth it. i need another special event so i have a excuse to go back!

had amazing cocktails and dinner at Pink Rose in the pearl. if you haven't tried this place out yet DO IT...its fab and we had an amazing waitress who even treated us to free birthday shots :) 

 it was one fabulous birthday weekend. now it is back to reality and back to work.

apparently im 23..on this side of the world..

23. Apparently today is my 23rd birthday. It's no secret that I love birthday's. I love other peoples birthday's more but I do love planning a day to head up to portland, get dressed up, have a nice dinner, and a night out on the town...things are a little different today. No big party or suite at the Nines.  A simple day. But don't worry, you know I already have a make up bday celebration in the works for when I return. :)

Not going to lie though...when 22 came along I really didn't think much of it but for some reason seeing 23 is a little crazy. The last couple years have flown by. I've always felt a little beyond my years but I've been trying to have fun and go with things the last could years. But I do see a lot of change in my life this next year. In my business, in my work, in my location, and just in my life in general. I want to get organized, i want to get things in order and I want there to by some sort of system of keeping things that way. I feel like right now there is a lot of unnecessary hecticness that I want to try to avoid. I know that life is never as planned but I do want to relieve some of the stress that I felt this last year. It's kind of nice having a birthday at the start of a new year. It's almost like a new year, and new age, a new start. So hopefully that's what will happen. I have so many goals and so many things I want to do. And I really do see this next year as a regrouping year. A year to make things happen and get back into the direction I want to go. A year to make things happen

Not going to lie, although I do love being here and seeing family I haven't seen in years, I do with I was getting ready to go to happy hour and celebrate this day with Happy Hour or dinner somewhere. missing you all..right about now.

Happy Birthday Becky!

Today is a dear friends 22nd Birthday :) Miss Becky Mae Colvin.

BEAutiful person inside and out. and soooo blessed to have her in my life. We have had so many good times together its not even funny. From low key movie nights to adventures out and about :) It has been amazing to see you grow up Becky! I remember so clearly you walking into my house your freshman year and now you are off to bigger and better things. And with you moving in two weeks I'm selfish and don't want you to leave me but I know you are about to embark on a wonderful new adventure and i now have the perfect reason to visit New Mexico. I hope you have an absolutely wonderful birthday filled with lots of love :)

Happy Birthday to my best! :)

Today is my one of my best and oldest friend's birthday. Miss Sammie is turning 23! :) It's so weird because 22 comes along and its like okay...cool. And for some reason knowing that we are all starting to turn 23 is just like oh...i guess we are growing up..haha..okay stupid but think about weird things like that...haha

Anyways.... Sammie and I met back in middle school...i want to say in 6th grade?..maybe 7th...we used to eat lunch together and then as we went into high school we got to know each other more and before you know it she was my bestie :) I introduced her to Nordstrom anniversary sales... we had hundreds of Starbucks trips and DP's (dance parties). We've been through thick and thin together and even though our lives get hectic and busy I always know that she will be there for me. I feel like you can always tell a strong friendship by how long you havn't seen someone and when you are with them again you just start back up right where you let off. And there is something about knowing someone for so long and that history you have with them that makes you that much closer.

So to Sammie.... you have turned out to be one of the most beautiful, selfless, kind hearted people I know. Someone who works hard and has such a great heart for others. I love you so much its ridiculous and I can't wait to see where we end up in life :) because where ever that is i know i'll have you in my life :)
