a little blank fun

If you haven't already noticed today is FRIDAY!!! And I am one excited girl that the weekend has finally arrived. I am packing my bags and am heading out of town tonight to probably an even smaller town then corvallis but the point is that I am heading out for a couple days. Heading home with my good friend/ roomie to coos bay! It will be nice to see the ocean and just be somewhere different. His adorable mom has im sure planned a great weekend for all of use 

but for now I figured we would play along with the blanks today. They are over on The Little Things We Do! 

1.  Something that is very near and dear to my heart is,   friendships. my close friends know that no matter what I will always back them and will always come to their rescue.     

2.      The fact that it is friday.   is good cause to celebrate .

3.  The most fun I ever had was    hmm..how about just some fun that i had recently? Last weekend my roomie and i made our way up to portland, had lunch and roamed the streets on a perfectly sunny day. and it was so much fun. It is fun to have days where there are no expectations and you just go with the flow. it's the simple things  .

4.  True friends are   the ones you may not see or talk to everyday but the ones that you pick right back up with when you are together. true friends will call you out and be honest when you need it the most and are always there to comfort .

5. Something that makes me terribly happy is       entertaining. I know it sounds weird but i love having people over for a dinner party. there is just something about everyone around one table sipping on wine and enjoying ones company that makes me just feel complete .

6. A good way to spend a sunny day is     outside BBQing, with great friends, great drinks and twinkle lights for when it gets dark  .

7.  My favorite celebratory food is   Chocolate, some sort of chocolate dessert is always a great way to celebrate  .

Only 8 hours stands between me and weekend. hopefully it goes by fast!

what a weekend

this weekend a productive, fun filled weekend. for the first time in a few weeks i finally feel like i am back to normal. No more sickness, my darn injured hip issue seems to be going away and the sun even came out to play. Which made for a pretty much great weekend. Saturday was a busy day of errand running and a quick trip to Portland to pick up a great friend who is visiting for the week. I also was able to finally secure a venue for my mom's birthday party and even made a quick stop at good Powell's. Here are the instagram moments of the weekend!

watched one of the most intense gymnastic regionals EVER! but thankfully the Beavers are off to Nationals! Phew! 

i also went through old pictures looking for some gems for the party. I came across my baby book and this
handsome pictures of my dad. he was a looker :)

did lots of work for my grandma's 90th coming up this next weekend!
picked up this great old screen pictured on the right. it was only 12 bucks at an antique store in Albany.

we also got to spend a lovely day celebrating easter. Went to a great easter service and spent the day
eating yummy food and lounging on the couch

over all a fantastic weekend. this week is going to be super busy with party prep and on top of that i have a lovely full house of visiting friends. going to be a great week!

a little weekend fun

this weekend was perfection. 

I had a nice relaxing weekend along with some productiveness, fun, and laziness.

went to check out the wedding venue for a bride im helping. going to be perfection 

had a perfectly lazy sunday. complete with everything you try not to eat monday through saturday.

this weekend was pretty much amazing...we had multiple friends visiting from out of town and staying with us which is always fun. It was relaxing, lazy, and yet super fun to catch up and have a night out on the town with old friends kinda weekend. Here are some snap shots from my fantastical weekend via Instagram :)

its monday?

oh monday...you came way to soon! Did anyone else have a crazy, hectic, busy, wish it was longer weekend? Because I most definitely did. Friday night was filled with Chinese New Year dinner party prep and an AMAZING OSU Gymnastics meet. These girls did such a great job! I can't wait to see how this season plays out.

Saturday was...well...it was a 16 hourish work day...thats what it was. I was up at the crack of dawn and thankfully my coffee, and extra energy boosts in my jamba got me through. But the dinner turned out great. There are always things I wish I could go back and do differently but I guess thats what makes us better for the next dinner. I sadly didn't even have a moment to snap a couple pictures on my phone but I will have the nice photos from the dinner in their own post hopefully tomorrow! I was really happy with the decor with this dinner.

Thankfully Sunday was a lazy, lounge around, do nothing day. We ended up making crepes in the evening. And let me tell you they were AMAZING! We made three different types. My favorite was the Apple Cinnamon crepe with a carmel drizzle and a bit of whipped cream..YUMMY!

apparently its a new week

This weekend was kind of all over the place..but it was over all a pretty good weekend.

 Here is my life in some pictures.

 Friday I headed up to Portland to celebrate a friends birthday at Bar XV! Happy Birthday Mike!

Got my craft on and started a couple christmas projects.

Trying to make most of my gifts by hand this year! 

Finally saw the last Harry Potter movie. OMG. craziness. loved it. 

Made this awesome scarf that i am super proud of and was almost to easy to make.

I also headed to Salem Sunday for a little fam time for lunch and then met up with some good ole friends from high school to catch up. It was great to all be together again. A few years have gone by but it is still so fun to get together and see whats going on with everyone. 

Over all a pretty good weekend. Sadly it is monday again but I actually have some fun things going on this week so it shouldn't be to bad. :)
