wedding video wednesday!!

Moetic Wedding Films does it again! i fell in love with this weeks video for two reasons. 1. Betsy and Ryan are a freaking adorable couple (kinda wish i knew them in real life), and 2. i loved the song they used in this film. the perfect music is so important, and frankly you when you are obsessed with wedding videos like I am you tend to hear some of the same songs over and over, but i had never heard Live Forever by Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors before and I am now obsessed with it. Hope you enjoy it!

Have a simply marvelous Wedding Wednesday!

One from the day prior and then the day of. All i need to say about this wedding is that i wish i knew them, and i wish i could have been present for this beautiful event. You can see and feel the love. They are that cute couple you almost want to hate because they are so beautiful but they look so nice that it would probably be impossible to. Wedding Wednsday

This weeks post was originally supposed to be centered around flower girls. However, I found another super cute wedding film by Zach Boyce that I couldn't help but share. The wedding of Ed and Ruth is so completely adorable, cheerful and bright that you just can't help but smile when you look at the pictures or watch this film. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did! Check out more pictures from their big day over at 100 Layer Cake!

Wedding Wednesday: more video fun

I almost feel like i should start calling this Wedding Video Wednesday. Because thats all I seem to be posting lately. But i just LOVE wedding cinema. And today's video is no exception. This a great example of how a couple personalized every aspect of their wedding to be nothing but "them". And it turned out great. This is one amazing western, cowboy, cowgirl wedding. Moetic Films did a great job with this one!

Hope you have a simply wonderful Wednesday!

Wedding Wednesday

Today I have once again another AMAZING wedding video from my favorite cinematographers at Jo Simon Films. They shot a beautiful wedding at Hearst Castle in California. And this wedding is truly perfection. A perfect day in a perfect location. Take a look for yourself!!

After watching this and falling in love with Hearst Castle I decided to look into how much it would cost to rent this beautiful venue. My initial guest was at least 10 thousand if not more. And let me tell you it was more...way more! like 10 thousand more. Thanks right...20 Thousand Dollars to rent this castle. And that doesn't come with anything. That is strictly just the location. Sigh...Thats more then some peoples wedding budgets. But goodness...if you had the money..who wouldn't want to get married here!?

Hope everyone has a simple wonderful Wedding Wednesday!

Wedding Wednesday: more cinema

Sorry I have ben MIA on the whole wedding Wednesday thing lately... it seems like i get to wednesday and i am all of the sudden super busy that morning..and didn't have time to do one in advance... Anyways this last week I came across two amazing wedding videos. And let me tell you they are AMAZING! I can't wait for you to see them :)

Sigh...As everyone knows I am such a sucker for a  good wedding video. There are some amazingly talented people out there who are able to catch those perfect moments from the best day of your life into a perfect cinematic experience. And like this first video, amazing creative boyfriends who make an engagement something so special and so personal you can't help but fall a little more in love with them. Hope you enjoy!

"From the Groom-to-be… I proposed to my girlfriend of 4 years through a video. I shot it myself, focusing and framing each shot before hitting the playbutton and getting in front of the camera."

Thank you Style Me Pretty for another amazing find!

And finally here is a tear jerker for you ladies! This is seriously just adorable and Modern 8 Films did a great job filming and editing. And they also picked the perfect song.

beautiful engagements

As everyone knows I am obsessed with wedding cinema. There are so many talented videographers who make the most beautiful stories about one of the biggest days of your life.  AQUA VIVUS  is one of those businesses. While browsing the online world i came across some of their beautiful engagement videos. This first one is one of my favorites. Enjoy!

yay for days off! i was off yesterday and due to my current lack of internet situation i wasn't able to post my usual wedding wednesday funness..sooo we will just post it today :) There were a couple things I came across this week that were absolutely adorable.

Starting with these bow tie table settings that were over on Bow Tie & Bustle Blog yesterday! What a cute idea!

I also love that the transportation for this wedding! The whole wedding party was basically in a parade of pedicabs on the way to the wedding! More pictures over on 100 Layer Cake

im a sucker for a good wedding video

it's true. I love love love wedding videos. But i am probably the pickiest person when it comes to them as well. The biggest thing I am looking for is to feel moved by the video and also that it is beautifully shot. It needs to tell a story, a love story. And this week i stumbled upon a video that did just that. It's more of an emotional video but I just love that you can tell this couple truly whole heartedly loves each other. The video was done by stillmotion and its absolutely beautiful. So happy Wedding Wednesday!

Hope you enjoyed it! Have a simply wonderful Wednesday!

you know what day it is!

With my love for weddings its no surprise that I can spend hours just looking at wedding blogs and websites, and more recently looking into wedding associations. Ever since my little flower class I took I've been wanting to get more involved in the social world of events and weddings, and maybe take some workshops and seminars along the way. As I started to look into what was available I came across The Wedding Planning Institute. And the exciting thing about them is that they offer courses that end with a certification test at the end of the 10 week program. Basically wedding and event coordinating school. Something that I have looked into before but this program has by far blown the other ones out of the water. And something I am really looking into. I'm blessed to know what I want to do with my life so it's exciting to think about taking steps toward that.

Anyways... here is another one of my favorite wedding films from Joe Simon Films. This was the video that made me fall in love with this company! Enjoy!

Wedding Wednesday: What Not To Do edition

I would like to start this post by saying that this post is purely my opinion. There have been thousands of weddings that have used the things i have listed here today and i'm sure some of them were beautiful. But here is my personal lists of things to stay away from when planning your wedding.

Tulle. Oh tulle. Now im sure there are some things that could be done with tulle that don't totally look tacky. But when i see or hear the word tulle i automatically think tacky. And normally thats what tulle ends up being. the swaying and shimmering of the fabric is just not my thing. there are so many other beautiful fabrics that would be much more suitable.

Davids Bridal. Okay so I'm all for david's bridal for occasion dresses... or even bridesmaids dresses but not for your wedding dress. I feel like whenever i go in there it's just this in and out approach to finding your dress. Never been a big fan of thier customer service. And with david bridal stores across the country you know you are going to be in a gown that so many other brides will be in as well. And to me...thats just not something i would prefer. Finding yur dress should be special. Not a department store experience which is exactly what i feel like David's Bridal is.

Putting your bridesmaids in ugly dresses. Sigh...I honestly don't understand why in this modern age i am still seeing ugly bridesmaids dresses in hideous shades. There is no reason to making them feel and look uncomfortable. You the bride are obviously going to be the most beautiful person in the room. So please, put your brides in beautiful dresses.

Trying to do everything on your own. There is just no reason for a bride to stress herself out and try to tackle everything on her own. ESPECIALLY on her wedding day. I know sooooo many people don't even want to think about hiring a wedding coordinator, but trust me a good wedding coordinator will be able to save you money in the long run. It is well worth the investment. And the best part about hiring someone. You actually get to enjoy your wedding, along with your wedding party, family, and friends. It's a win win situation!

And finally don't loose sight of what this day really means. I always say, if a bride and groom can survive planning a wedding they are meant to be together. There is so much stress and anticipation and build up to this day that so many brides loose sight of the fact that this day boils down to one thing: promising yourself to a life together with your love. At the end of the day colors of dresses and what favors to choose don't really matter. Just keep in mind that this is about you and your partner. When you do that you truly have a wedding.

And here are just a couple what not to do's if you are a guest at a wedding this summer.

1. Do not be Late. Nothing worse then saying your vows as someone slams the door on thier way in.

2. Do not bring a guest unless you were invited to.

3. Please don't change your seating arrangements. There was thought put into where people are seated.

4. Do not get overly sloppy drunk. No one wants to see that.

5. Dress appropriately. This is not a night out at a club. This is a wedding.

Now that the world knows what I wouldn't dare do for a wedding its time to see an adorable vintage wedding video that isn't my normal preference in filming style when it comes to these things but i fell in love with its old fashion charm.
Great song and Super cute.
Happy Wedding Wednesday!!!
