Wedding Wednesday: The Collins Wedding

It feels like it was forever ago and yet only just yesterday that I was running around trying to finish up details for the Collins wedding that was in August. This wedding is my first official Cinta Events wedding, and only 1 out of a handful that i have done ever. Thankfully i was working with a pretty amazing bride and groom who seriously made the whole process so much fun and really allowed me the freedom to be creative. I had so much fun with all the crafting and  working on all the little details that to me really make a wedding. Now that a couple months have gone by, and we now have the pictures back from the talented Katy Weaver I can finally really see what was done. That day was so hectic and i learned some oh so valuable lessons in what i would do again and what i would not do again. Thats what I love about event planning. You never know it all. Its a constant evolution regardless of how long you have been in the business.

I am so excited to be able to share with you some of my favorite prictures from the wedding! I will soon be posting an album on the facebook page with a few more. Thanks again to my amazing couple, Leah and Andrew. It was such an honor to be apart of your big day! And a big thank you to Katy Wever Photography! The pictures are amazing!

hope you enjoyed them!

Have a simply wonderful wedding wednesday!

wedding video wednesday!!

Moetic Wedding Films does it again! i fell in love with this weeks video for two reasons. 1. Betsy and Ryan are a freaking adorable couple (kinda wish i knew them in real life), and 2. i loved the song they used in this film. the perfect music is so important, and frankly you when you are obsessed with wedding videos like I am you tend to hear some of the same songs over and over, but i had never heard Live Forever by Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors before and I am now obsessed with it. Hope you enjoy it!

Have a simply marvelous Wedding Wednesday!

wedding video wednesday

lets be honest, wedding wednesday is almost always wedding video wednesday. and i am totally okay with that. we all know how much i love them. and this week i stumbled across one BEAUTIFUL couple! they had an amazing wedding weekend and i actually have two videos for you to watch. One from the day prior and then the day of. All i need to say about this wedding is that i wish i knew them, and i wish i could have been present for this beautiful event. You can see and feel the love. They are that cute couple you almost want to hate because they are so beautiful but they look so nice that it would probably be impossible to. InkSpot Crow is one amazing company! Enjoy!

Gorgeous huh?

Hope everyone has a simply wonderful wednesday!

wedding wednesday: mason jar edition

mason jars. if anyone hasn't noticed mason jars are the new IT item in the world of weddings and events. who doesn't like that little touch of country chic in an event. there are so many great advantages to using these little guys. but my top two reasons:

1. cheap and inexpensive. lets be real. you probably have a few laying around the house from when grandma sent you home with some jam or canned fruit. And even when purchasing they are inexpensive, only about 8-10 bucks for a dozen.

2. 100 different uses for them. You can use these jars for pretty much everything under the sun. They come in so many different sizes so the ideas are endless. You can use them to bake with, flower vases, drinking glasses, candle holders, storage containers and the list goes on. and bonus! they make each use adorable!

here are some adorable uses

wedding wednesday: obsession

lately i've been realizing that my obsession with weddings probably seems completely insane to most people im surrounded by. I get excited about things that normal people rarely care about and what most girlfriends only care about when they are the ones getting married. here are some symptoms of my wedding obsessed life lately.

You know you are obsessed when:

1. you buy books on weddings. the first stop when i get to Powell's is the wedding section.  there is nothing like being able to sit and go through all the amazing pictures and tips, and stories. I get giddy just thinking about it.

2. attending wedding shows without a bride. obviously we can say that being a wedding planner this one isn't so weird. but trust me it's a little awkward when vendors keep asking you when your date is and you have to give that whole shpeal on how you are scouting and not the one actually getting married.

3. following more wedding blogs then i can count on a regular basis. now i will admit that i probably only check about 4 of those on a daily basis but i religiously follow about a million.

4. when i see a random object and want to completely change it's purpose. I will see a pot holder and want to turn it into a chandelier. this is not an example. I have two sitting in my garage as we speak. I also have ikea clearance shelves that i use as risers for food items at events.

5. weddings are in your dreams. i am one of those people who rarely ever dreams/ remembers my dreams but i have had a couple dreams about weddings in the last week or so. the last one i had i forgot to order linens! #nightmare

i sometimes feel like my obsessions are totally legit and sometimes i almost think i might actually be crazy but in the end I just remind myself that my obsession will only make someone special day that much better. i'm by no means perfect but I do strive for perfection in my work. and i guess being a little obsessive never hurt anything right?

hope you have a simply wonderful wedding wednesday.

Wedding Wednesday: Eugene Luxe Bridal Event

This last week was the 1st Eugene Luxe Bridal Show and with one my brides getting married in the Eugene area we decided to drive down to Eugene and check it out. And I'm not going to lie, I was quite impressed by the turnout. It definitely had more of an event feel to the whole thing. Music was playing, lights were dimmed and wine and food tastings were amazing. I was however disappointed with the amount of vendors who showed up. But because it was the first year I can only seeing this event grow as the years go on. I loved the bridal gown lounge and the bouquet display concepts but I think it could have been executed a little better. I think that the Portland version of this show would probably blow this one out of the water, just because there are so many unique vendors in Portland. I may need to treck up to Portland next week and check it out. But for now here are some snap shots of the Eugene show!

a fun colorful bouquet from the bouquet display
this bouquet would be perfect for a summer wedding

great displays from Parties to Go

The Bride with a fun drag queen making an appearance

The Pearl Vodka station was giving a tasting of  Wedding Cake Vodka
it was one of our favorite stops :)

who wouldn't want to serve wedding cake vodka at their wedding?

it over all was a successful night with some great idea's and a lot of fun.
can't wait for Leah's Wedding! It's going to be stunning :)

Hope everyone has a simply fantastic Wedding Wednesday!

Wedding Wednsday

This weeks post was originally supposed to be centered around flower girls. However, I found another super cute wedding film by Zach Boyce that I couldn't help but share. The wedding of Ed and Ruth is so completely adorable, cheerful and bright that you just can't help but smile when you look at the pictures or watch this film. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did! Check out more pictures from their big day over at 100 Layer Cake!

Hope you have a simply Cheerful Wedding Wednesday!

Wedding Wednesday: Boudoir Shoots

warning: kind of a scandalous of a post today ;) but in the name of wedding wednesday's I must eventually talk about the boudoir shoots. the popularity of Boudoir shoots has grown immensely in the last few years. Women are embracing their sexuality and soon to be brides are finding these shoots and little black books the perfect pre-wedding gift to their man. Nothing like a little tease in the days leading up to your I-do's. Now, although these are growing in popularity there are most definitely the provocative bordering tacky boudoir shoots or the extremely classy almost artsy shoots. I'm sure you can already guess that I would suggest the classy, artsy route. These are pictures that you want to look back at when you are old and grey and still love, not be something you regret. You want to look back and feel like the pictures you took were classic and timeless..exactly like your wedding pictures. Thanks to pinterest I've been keeping track of some of my favorites to share. Feel free to check out my bored for the original sources!

i absolutely adore this picture. the essence of class and sexiness all at the same time.

sexy silhouette

hello legs

another stunning picture.
fun accessories
beauty at any size and one stunning corset
heart the bow
there are so many directions you can go with these shoots but most of all they should make you feel absolutely beautiful, stunning, and sexy. Pick the right looks for you and don't try to be something you aren't. These shoots should empower you and bring out that confident sexy women that is in all of us. And most of all have fun! don't stress yourself out over these shoots. The photographer is there to make you look your best and trust me if you have a good one they will. Do your research and be willing to pay for quality because lets be honest this is not the kind of photo shoot you want an amateur running.

Hope you have a simply sexy wedding wednesday!
