halloween

i have a hard time believing it is halloween today. halloween on a wednesday is not ideal, for anyone, young or old. and take into consideration that oregon is usually nice and rainy, and today does not dispoint. regardless i am hoping for some little trick-or-treaters tonight. We live in a somewhat family oriented neighborhood so you would think i would get some. i even took the time to put up some halloween decorations in our entrance and i must say it looks a little spooky at night.

Hope everyone has a simply haunted halloween!

when you forget how amazing vacation is

I think the last time i was legitimately on vacation was back in December/ January for my big trip overseas. Since then i have maybe taken a day or two but most of the time a vacation day from my day job is more like a day off to work on my side job. However, I spent the last 5 days on actual vacation. I didn't go far but it was great to have some time at home and also a little adventure up to Seattle. I forgot how amazing it is to actually have time OFF. My work e-mail was giving me issues so I couldn't even silently check on things like i normally do. And boy let me tell you it was plain just heaven. Even though the last part of vacation was hectic and jammed packed with activities I feel so much better today. Needless to say I should try not waiting like 10 months before taking another one :) What did I do on my time off? lots of happy hours, friend time, house time, me time, pretty hit everything i love doing. aka perfect time off

went to BravoLive 2012 .. loved all the photo booths

attended my first Western Wednesday

Did some re-arranging of the house
finally decorated for halloween

some last minute beaver shopping before heading to Seattle

headed to Seattle for the Beaver Game and to be reunited with my Twinsie

seriously miss this girl so much. it was so amazing to spend the weekend with her

unfortunately  the game did not go as planned... but thats okay.. it was only 1 game

made a quick trip on my way out of town to the Pikes Place Market

OMG! Oils are seriously OMG good. Had to pick some up while in Seattle!

and even made a mini pit stop to visit the Nike Clearance Store...i wanted everything .

Sigh...already wishing I could be off again. Thank goodness Holiday's are right around the corner!

Hope everyone has a simply amazing monday!

what a week

last week was one of those weeks. those weeks that the to do list is endless and you have about a million and one things you have to get done. its one of those weeks where my day job and side job both have a lot going on and it was one of those weeks where there were a lot of exciting things happening but at the same time i was ready for the week to come to an end. it is a week where my normal routine goes out the window (wait it has for about the last month) and where my blog routine definitely gets pushed aside. thankfully it is now all officially behind me and the month of craziness is finally coming to an end. This last week was OSU's Homecoming week, complete with parade, socials, alumni events, tailgating and all ending with the big night game. It was a jam packed week to say the least but it sure did end with an exciting win bringing the OSU record to 6-0. And I am one proud Beaver Believer. Here are some snap shots from past week!

FRIDAY!

Who is excited about friday?! I know I am! I honestly feel like this month is just zooming by! There is so much that goes on in my personal life as well as work life that is just filling every free moment. But this has been and will continue to be an amazing month!

Today I am filling in some blanks! feel free to link up yourself over at The Little Things We Do!

1. My Favorite Flower is the Peony. I am obsessed with Peonies. They are my ultimate favorite flower. So big and fluffy and just completely gorgeous.

2. You should never talk about Politics. I am just not a fan of bringing up this topic of conversation. People can get so worked about politics and although they have every right I like to keep everyone happy and politic talk always ends up with someone being upset.

3. My favorite discovery as of late is the $25 shellac manicure that is at a place 2 minutes from my house. I still have an obsession with nail polish and have even more of an obsession with shellac.

4. This fall you will probably find me wearing jeans, boots, cardi's and scarves. I am loving all the super rich colors of fall and of course me and my grey nail polish :)

5. I wish i were at home doing some fall decorating, and organizing. There are a couple big house projects i really want to tackle but just have not had the time or energy. And now I am kicking myself because according to the weather the rain is about the start and that means I will have yet another excuse to not get out into the yard and tackle some things.

6. My favorite TV show currently is Revenge. I am loving Revenge at the moment! I watched season 1 in like 2 days. Its the perfect amount of action/ drama/ it takes place in the hamptons :)

7. This weekend I want to balance some productiveness with some fun. It's my roomies bday and his girlfriend is in town visiting so there are lots of social activities on the list along with hopefully a great OSU game. But i do really want to attempt to make progress on my garage as well.

Hope everyone has a simply fantastical weekend!

Wedding Wednesday: The Collins Wedding

It feels like it was forever ago and yet only just yesterday that I was running around trying to finish up details for the Collins wedding that was in August. This wedding is my first official Cinta Events wedding, and only 1 out of a handful that i have done ever. Thankfully i was working with a pretty amazing bride and groom who seriously made the whole process so much fun and really allowed me the freedom to be creative. I had so much fun with all the crafting and  working on all the little details that to me really make a wedding. Now that a couple months have gone by, and we now have the pictures back from the talented Katy Weaver I can finally really see what was done. That day was so hectic and i learned some oh so valuable lessons in what i would do again and what i would not do again. Thats what I love about event planning. You never know it all. Its a constant evolution regardless of how long you have been in the business.

I am so excited to be able to share with you some of my favorite prictures from the wedding! I will soon be posting an album on the facebook page with a few more. Thanks again to my amazing couple, Leah and Andrew. It was such an honor to be apart of your big day! And a big thank you to Katy Wever Photography! The pictures are amazing!

hope you enjoyed them!

Have a simply wonderful wedding wednesday!
